Medication therapy management is an important tool to promote and optimize patient outcomes. As MTM services have evolved – and with CMS proposals to expand eligibility for these services – there is a need to advance how we evaluate the quality of MTM services. Most MTM stakeholders agree a new measure is needed to assess and improve the quality of MTM services rather than receipt of the services. This panel will discuss opportunities to improve the quality of care, such as care coordination and the next level of data and documentation needed to develop a feasible and usable measure.
